Legionella Control
We provide expertise, advice and practical solutions for complete legionella control in domestic and process water systems. Our qualified engineers regularly carry out tasks from water sampling through to complete legionella risk assessments in accordance with the governments' L8 legislation.

Our legionella risk assessments will take the uncertainty away of your legal responsibilities by laying down simple step by step instructions. They will also provide a schedule of weekly, monthly and annual tasks that need to be carried out and recorded to ensure L8 compliance. We will also highlight any modifications to the water systems that may be necessary for compliance which our experienced engineers can repair.

Legionella Control and Risk Assessments
The most critical element in controlling the risk posed by legionella bacteria is the undertaking of a risk assessment. The assessment identifies which water systems pose a risk and its findings will determine the scope of the legionella management plan. In keeping with all other areas of health and safety legislation, the risk assessment must be the first task to be completed, it is an essential part of Legionella Control.

You must have a current legionella risk assessment for your premises in order to comply with the Health & Safety Executive's 'Legionnaires' disease; The control of the legionella bacteria in water systems, 2001'. The risk assessment must be reviewed at least every two years. This may be sooner if there are changes to a water system, or if results of checks show that that legionella control measures are no longer effective or there is a case of Legionnaires’ disease associated with the system.
